Sub: Appeal to Establish a Rural Charitable Hospital

Project Proposal details ( click here

Respected Sir/Madam,

Please accept our heartfelt love. Hope, you are leading a happy and peaceful life by the grace of the almighty. Vivek-Uday Students' Welfare Society, a registered voluntary Students’ Welfare Organization (Estd. 2001), has been serving underprivileged communities through educational and social welfare initiatives for more than two decades inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s idea.

Building upon this experience, the Society proposes to establish of 20-bedded Rural Charitable Hospital at Bamanda Village under Jankapur Gram Panchayat, Dantan-II Block, Paschim Medinipur District, West Bengal (PIN – 721426) to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the rural population.

The proposed hospital is intended to serve nearly 50,000 people residing in approximately 20 surrounding villages located in a remote rural region near the West Bengal–Odisha border. Despite the large population, there is presently no government or private hospital in or around the locality. The nearest medical facilities are Khanduri Rural Hospital (15 km away) and Dantan Sadar Hospital (14 km away).

Due to inadequate transportation facilities and poor road connectivity, particularly during the monsoon season, patients often face severe difficulties in accessing timely medical care. Pregnant women, children, elderly persons and emergency patients are the worst affected. Over the years, numerous preventable deaths and medical complications have occurred due to delayed access to healthcare services.

Recognizing this urgent need, our Society has undertaken the initiative to establish a Rural charitable hospital that will provide affordable and accessible medical services to economically weaker and underserved rural communities. For this noble cause, a parcel of land (google map link) already generously donated by a well-wisher that is well connected to the main road. The estimated project cost is approximately 75 lakh.

Therefore, it is our humble request to you if you could donate generously for this noble cause; any amount of donation will be gratefully accepted. Your contribution, irrespective of the amount, will directly help provide life-saving healthcare services to thousands of underserved rural families. All donations to us are exempted from Income tax u/c 80G. Cheques/draft should be drawn in favor of “Vivek Uday Students' Welfare Society” payable at Kolkata.

We have options to dedicate the donations as per the donor’s wish in a "granite memorial plaque" at the building; anyone interested please reach out to us separately.

Herewith, I am attaching an Information Brochure with a project proposal of our organization. If you need more information, please feel free to contact us. Our organization was also registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India, with CSR registration number: CSR00045558.

Yours faithfully,

Team Vivek-Uday
